3D Potter

WARRANTY

3D Potter Inc. offers a 1-year limited warranty on all of its products. This warranty covers manufacturer defects and includes free part replacement.

What is NOT covered or VOIDS the warranty:

  • Damage caused by improper use. 
  • Modification and or altering the printer in any way
  • Electrical surges, water and or fire damage. 
  • Lack of proper machine maintenance. 
  • Altering of configuration files 
  • Consumables items, i.e. clay, rubber seals, polycarbonate tubes etc.

Extended warranties are available for purchase at $250 a year for all models except Scara. Scara series extended warranty is $450 per year.

Printers are eligible for warranty for a total of 3 years from the original purchase date. 

3D Potter reserves the right to not warranty any printer that is obsolete/or that is no longer in production.  

This warranty is not transferable.

 

TECHNICAL SUPPORT

Every 3D Potter printer comes with 30 minutes of free technical support. After 30 minutes you may purchase additional tech support coverage at the rate of $100.00 per hour.  Time can be purchased by the hour or broken down into 15 minute increments.

 

Hot Shot Oven & Kiln

OVEN + KILN WARRANTY

All Hot Shot Oven & Kilns are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for 12 Months. Hot Shot Oven & Kiln will repair or replace (at our option), at no charge, any part(s) found to be faulty during the warranty period specified. The oven/kiln will be free of defects in workmanship and materials when used under normal and proper operating conditions. The oven and kiln warranty repairs must be performed by/at Hot Shot Oven & Kiln facility.

OBLIGATIONS OF THE ORIGINAL OWNER

Provide written proof of date of purchase. Notify Hot Shot Oven & Kilns immediately after defect has been discovered. Transportation of oven/kilns to Hot Shot Oven & Kiln is the responsibility of the original purchaser. Return transportation back to the customer is provided by Hot Shot Oven & Kiln when the oven/kiln is in-warranty.

FOR WARRANTY REPAIRS: Warranty repairs should be handled through Hot Shot Oven & Kiln who will arrange for any repairs or replacement of parts under the terms of this warranty. Otherwise, the defective part may be returned (postage prepaid) to Hot Shot Oven & Kiln at 2305 Stonebridge Rd, West Bend, WI 53095. If, after factory examination, the original part is found to be defective, a new or repaired part will be shipped prepaid by Hot Shot Oven & Kiln. If the entire oven is to be returned to the factory, all transportation costs will be done by the purchaser. The purchaser should notify Hot Shot Oven & Kiln 262-217-5235 prior to shipping for a Return Materials Authorization (RMA) Number. Hot Shot Oven & Kiln will help advise if it is necessary to return the entire oven or only certain parts.

Warranty work will be performed within 3 business days after defective part is returned to the factory. Hot Shot Oven & Kiln reserves the right, at its option, to replace the entire oven or any part of it in order to fulfill its obligation under this warranty.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
  • Ovens altered in any way, abuse or neglect, moisture, improper storage or installation.
  • Ovens over fired (reaching temperature higher than melting point of ware inside oven) regardless of cause.
  • Ovens operated on incorrect voltage. Improper electrical installation. Knife Blade furniture or ware other than Hot Shot Oven & Kiln made.
  • Ovens used for salt firing.
  • Ovens used for Nitriding.
  • Ovens used for purposes other than the firing of heat-treating various metals.
  • Ovens operated more than the temperature on the rating plate.
  • Damage to Property or personal injury that may occur from ovens that are fired on or near wood floors or combustibles.
  • Damage to property or personal injury that may occur from improper ventilation of the work area and building This warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed, or implied.
EXCLUSIONS OF THE WARRANTY

This warranty does not cover any of the following: accident, misuse, fire, flood, and other acts of God, acts of terrorism, nor any contingencies beyond the control of Hot Shot Oven & Kiln, including but not limited to water damage, incorrect line voltage, improper installation, installation where this unit will not meet local electrical codes, missing or altered serial numbers, and service performed by an unauthorized facility. Hot Shot Oven & Kiln’s liability for any damages caused in association with the use of Hot Shot Oven & Kiln’s equipment shall be limited to the repair or replacement only of the Hot Shot Oven & Kiln’s equipment. No person, agent, distributor, dealer, or company is authorized to modify, alter, or change the design of this merchandise without express written approval of Hot Shot Oven & Kiln.

Liability Limitation: In no event shall Hot Shot Oven & Kiln be liable or responsible for consequential, incidental or special damages resulting from or related in any manner to any Hot Shot Oven & Kiln product, third party installation(s), manufactured or distributed, or parts thereof.

Hot Shot Oven & Kiln does not accept returns on units that have been burned in or fired.

INTERNATIONAL & CONTIGIOUS WARRANTY:
Due to the shipping distance Hot Shot Oven & Kiln has created separate warranty terms for all units shipped outside of the continental US including Hawaii and Alaska. This warranty is still valid for the full 12 months. However, the customer will be responsible for all shipping cost including customs, taxes and fees for any replacement parts or if the unit needs to be sent in for any inspection deemed under warranty.

 

Olympic Kilns

LIMITED KILN WARRANTY

THIS WARRANTY IS APPLICABLE TO ALL KILNS MANUFACTURED BY OLYMPIC KILNS THAT ARE USED FOR CERAMICS, POTTERY AND GLASS. KILNS EQUIPPED WITH A KILN SITTER AND SAFETY TIMER AND CONE 10 KILNS HAVE A ONE-YEAR WARRANTY AND ALL OTHER KILNS HAVE A TWO-YEAR WARRANTY. CERTAIN PARTS, THERMOCOUPLES, ARE NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, NOR IS KILN FURNITURE.

Haugen Manufacturing, Incorporated guarantees to the original purchaser that any defects in OLYMPIC KILNS which become apparent within two years (one year for kilns rated at cone 10) will be remedied as specified below.

Our warranty, of course, does not cover any kiln damaged or altered by you or others after it leaves our factory. Our warranty does not cover damage due to reduction or salt firing, over-firing, exceeding the maximum cone or temperature ratings, improper installation, use of electrical voltages different than those specified, or firing material other than ceramics and glass. If a defect of manufacturer becomes apparent, and your retailer does not resolve it to your satisfaction, we will in the following manner: Within (6) days of the first indication of a defect, tell us in writing of the defect, and the date, place, and proof of your purchase. We will contact you to determine what parts seem to warrant repair and to instruct you as to shipment of the kiln parts. You will dismantle, package, and ship the parts we request (and no others), to us at your cost, freight prepaid. If the kiln has a defect of manufacture we will repair, replace or refund as is appropriate, within (30) days. We will ship to you at our cost in your package, for you to reinstall at your cost. If the parts shipped by you to us are in need of repair or replacement for something which is not covered by this warranty, we will not perform the work until you have authorized the work and made arrangements for payment. If an entire kiln is returned for repair under warranty, you will prepay the cost of packaging and shipping both to and from the factory.

We shall in no event be liable for injuries to persons or property or for incidental, contingent, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

Speedball Art

Warranty Overview

Your Artista™Potter’s Wheel comes complete with a 5-YEAR WARRANTY (100% parts & labor when labor performed at Speedball® Factory). Speedball® Art Products Company warrants this Speedball® pottery wheel to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, that would affect its operation for a period of 5 (five) years from the date of purchase.

Your Boss Series Wheel comes complete with a 10-YEAR WARRANTY (100% parts & labor when labor performed at Speedball Factory). Speedball Art Products Company warrants this Speedball pottery wheel to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service, that would affect its operation for a period of 10 (ten) years from the date of purchase.

This wheel must be registered within 30 (thirty) days of the date of purchase to make the warranty effective. Registration can be performed either online or by contacting Speedball Art's Customer Service Department at 800.898.7224. The obligation of this warranty shall be limited to repairing or replacing any part of the wheel which, at the discretion of the Company, shall be proven defective in materials or workmanship under normal use and service during the time period commencing with the date of purchase. Full wheel replacement will be at the discretion of the Company and will only be considered for claims initiated within 30 (thirty) days of purchase.

This warranty does not apply to: (a) damage caused by accident, abuse, mishandling or dropping; (b) units which have been subject to unauthorized repair; (c) units not used in accordance with direction; (d) damage exceeding the cost of the product; (e) damage by flood, lightning or natural disaster, war declared or undeclared. In no case shall the Company be liable for any incidental or consequential damages for breach of this or any other warranty, express or implied, whatsoever.

The limit of this warranty includes the product only and not any loss of work time or contract due to inability to use the wheel.

After any repair or replacement, Speedball Art Products Company will return under normal working schedule and by UPS/FedEx Ground Service (for customers in the Continental United States). Rush repair orders are accepted by purchase order and credit card payment or COD charges. Shipping charges for rush returns other than UPS/FedEx Ground Service must be prepaid via credit card or COD. No U.S. Postal returns. Be sure to wrap the product or parts securely when shipping to avoid shipping damage.

Policy Statement for Speedball Potter’s Wheel Warranties:

  1. Warranty card must be on file at Speedball Art Products Company
  2. Customer must contact Speedball Art Products Company for Return Authorization Number prior to returning the wheel. Please write the number clearly on the outside of the box.
  3. Parts for warranty repair must be shipped prepaid to Speedball Art Products Company.
  4. Send entire system as a unit control box, motor, foot pedal and all power with no cut cords. Experience has shown that by sending the entire system, repairs are made the first time, made correctly and with less time and trouble for all parties concerned. Full wheel shipments for repair or replacement must be shipped in original packaging.
  5. Enclose a brief description of the problem, along with your name, UPS address, phone number, email address and personal address.
  6. Speedball Art Products Company will pay UPS/FedEx Ground Service shipping back to customer.
  7. Any extra charges due to a request by the customer to rush shipment are to be paid by the customer.
